Thua Thien-Hue General Hospital opens
(VOV) -The new Thua Thien-Hue General Hospital was official opened on May 18 in the Phong Dien district of the central province.
The hospital was invested with more than US$38.6 million, of which more than US$30.8 million was official development assistance (ODA) from the Republic of Korea (RoK) and the remainder came from domestic sources.
Aum & Lee Architect Associates from the RoK were the primary consultant and, manager for the project, while Posco E&C Vietnam and Samsung C&T were the main contractors.
Construction work began in November 2009 and the last trial was run in January 2013. It has served 10,000 patients so far utilising its modern technology, with a special focus on obstetrics.
The hospital now has 500 beds and can provide medical examinations and treatment for up to 750 people each day.
