Three individuals of “Saola” (Pseudorys nghetinhensis), a forest-dwelling bovine, have been found by forest rangers in the western Truong Son Mountains, Lam Thuy district in the central province of Quang Binh.

The animals have not been identified as male or female, but the rangers said that they include two adults.

The Saola, a species discovered in the 1990s, is listed as critically engendered in the Red Data Book of Vietnam and the world.
