Three injured in Ninh Binh oil tanker fire
VOV.VN - An oil tanker in the northern province of Ninh Binh suddenly caught fire on January 3 while it was in the process of docking on the Boi River in Lien Minh village of Xich Tho commune, with the incident leaving three people injured.
According to Nguyen Huy Doan, chairman of Xich Tho commune, the fire occurred at 10:00 a.m. on 3 January in Lien Minh village.
At the time, there were four to five people onboard the vessel who were cleaning and maintaining the ship.
When the fire broke out, several people managed to escape the blaze. However, three individuals got burnt and were promptly taken to a local medical facility where they received emergency treatment.
Upon receiving news of the inferno, rescue forces were mobilised to the scene to extinguish the fire. It took them roughly 30 minutes to bring the fire under control.
The cause of the blaze is currently under investigation.
