Three foreigners have been rescued at sea by a Vietnamese fishing vessel and provided with care in Ben Tre province.

Nguyen Van Doc, a fisherman from the south-central coastal province of Binh Dinh, saved two Thais and a Laotian on August 23 while they were drifting at 6 degrees north latitude, 105 degrees east longitude.

The foreigners were taken to the border guard centre in Binh Thang Commune, Binh Dai district in Ben Tre province and provided with necessities.

The border guards are working the police and relevant agencies to return them to their home countries.
