Thousands join mass yoga sessions at dawn in Da Nang and Ha Long
VOV.VN - More than 700 yoga practitioners gathered at dawn on June 22 for a large-scale session titled “Touching Da Nang’s Dawn” as part of the 2025 Da Nang Enjoy Festival and International Yoga Day.

From 5:00 to 6:30 a.m. at East Sea Park, participants moved in unison against the serene backdrop of sea and sky, promoting mindfulness, wellness, and a sense of community.
The performance encouraged a healthy lifestyle and offered a moment of peace and balance in nature, becoming a memorable summer highlight for locals and visitors alike.
On the same day, nearly 1,000 people joined a mass yoga session along the shores of Ha Long Bay to mark the 11th International Day of Yoga in northern Quang Ninh province. Held under the theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health,” the event draw yoga clubs from Quang Ninh and neighboring provinces, thus forming a striking display of unity amid the world heritage landscape.

Participants took part in a common yoga protocol guided by representatives from the Indian Embassy, enjoyed yoga-themed performances, received commemorative flags, and joined a beach clean-up activity. The event, co-hosted by the Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee and the Indian Embassy in Vietnam, aimed to strengthen cultural and sports exchange between Vietnam and India while promoting yoga as a healthy lifestyle.
Dr. Mandala Tejaswi of the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Center in Hanoi noted that yoga reflects the values of health and discipline emphasized by President Ho Chi Minh. He expressed appreciation for the broad participation in this year’s International Yoga Day, celebrated across 45 provinces and cities in Vietnam, and called it an inspiring demonstration of the country’s enthusiasm for yoga.
