Thai group helps build more classrooms in Quang Nam

VOV.VN - Thai TCC group, with a fund from SIRIVADHANABHAKDI Foundation, has inaugurated 12 classrooms, 1 lab and 8 multifunctional rooms at Que Vu Junior Secondary School in Que Son district, Central Quang Nam province.

It totally costs US$434,000 (VND10 billion).

At the inauguration ceremony, representatives from MM Mega Market Vietnam, TBC-Ball Beverage Can Vietnam, Thai Corp International, and Phu Thai group under TCC group presented 120 gifts to outstanding students and VND80 million to the school’s Study Promotion Fund.

Aswin Techajareonvikul, CEO of Berli Jucker (BJC), a subsidiary group of TCC, said social responsibility is very important in the group’s long-term and sustainable development in Vietnam. That’s why it offered Vietnam VND10 billion to develop schools and education infrastructure in needy rural areas.

Que Son school was built more than 10 years ago and has been dilapidated. After receiving request from Que Son district, the group decided to donate VND10 billion for building of new classrooms with the hope that local students will have a better education environment, said Tran Kim Nga, chief of BJC representative office in Vietnam.

TCC group is one of the largest Thai investors in Vietnam. Through its joint ventures, TCC has created more than 8,000 jobs for local people.
