The two-day event, from June 5-6, is to create a closer link between overseas Vietnamese peole in Russia and encourage them to contribute more to their homeland.

The Vietnamese Ambassador Bui Dinh Dinh, praised the sporting activities organised by the Vietnamese community in Russia, saying this helps to promote health and physical training as well as consolidating solidarity amongst Vietnamese people living abroad.

A Vietnamese Tennis Players’ Association was established in Russia two years ago, and became the first overseas member of the Vietnam Tennis Federation.
