Technology forum sets course for firms to innovate and compete globally
VOV.VN - Hanoi will host the National Forum on Vietnam’s Technology Enterprise Development 2025 on December 30, marking a pivotal step in the country’s “Make in Vietnam” strategy.
The event underscores Vietnam’s ambition not only to foster innovation but also to master core and strategic technologies and enable domestic companies to compete on the global stage.
Organised by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST), the forum will present the major orientations outlined by MoST Minister Nguyen Manh Hung for the 2026–2030 development period.
Approximately 1,500 delegates are expected, including Party General Secretary To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, members of the Politburo, leaders of central ministries and agencies, local authorities, representatives of Vietnam’s digital technology business community, major corporations, associations, information technology (IT) universities, and the judging panel of the Make-in-Vietnam Digital Technology Product Award 2025.
A highlight of this year’s forum is the first-ever live demonstration of technology products, allowing Vietnamese enterprises to showcase their ability to master strategic technologies and tackle 11 real-world challenges in a concrete, verifiable way, moving beyond traditional exhibition formats.
Key activities will include demonstrations of outstanding Make-in-Vietnam technologies, a speech by Minister Nguyen Manh Hung outlining the direction for 2026–2030, presentations from leaders of major technology corporations such as Viettel, FPT, and VNPT, the Make-in-Vietnam Digital Technology Product Award 2025 ceremony, and keynote addresses from Party and State leaders.
The forum is expected to generate new momentum for Vietnam’s technology sector, reaffirm the strategic vision of Make-in-Vietnam, and inspire the country’s technology enterprises to rise and lead in the digital era.
