Symposium to highlight heritage values in Vietnam's railway development

VOV.VN - The Editorial Board of the Communist Review and Vietnam Railway Corporation will jointly host a symposium on October 30 titled "Promoting heritage values and cultural resources in the economic and tourism development strategy of Vietnam's railway sector."

The event forms part of a broad array of activities marking the 145th anniversary of Vietnam's railway sector (1881-2026) and the 80th anniversary of its traditional day (October 21, 1946 - October 21, 2026).

The gathering is expected to draw nearly 200 delegates, including researchers, scientists, officials from centrally-run ministries and agencies, and leaders from localities along railway routes, such as Hanoi and Bac Ninh.

Presentations and discussions will center on three main pillars: Party guidelines and State policies alongside the sector's history and heritage; heritage economics, tourism models, and experiential railway services; and institutional frameworks, technologies, and strategic visions for the digital era.

The findings aim to clarify key issues, advance policy formulation, and support the railway sector's expansion, generating growth momentum for Vietnam's economy in the new era of national advancement.

The symposium will also honor the sector's 145-year history of development while promoting the image of disciplined, dedicated, and innovative railway workers serving the public.
