Chau Dat Minh who reside in the town said that this is the first time such a huge number of swallows have visited the Mekong delta province of Bac Lieu.

The birds can be seen everywhere from paddy fields to electric wires, lamp posts, roofs, television aerials and windows, he said.

At present, local people are focusing on building swallows’ nests, Minh added.
