Surin to launch campaign against rabies

The move is to fulfill the wish of Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn who on several occasions spoke of her hope of seeing rabies eradicated from the country. 

The Offices of Surin Provincial Public Health, Livestock, and its Public Relations office as well as the administrative sector will cooperate in the fight against rabies. Enhanced virus prevention measures will be applied throughout the province from 2017 to 2019. 

The World Health Organization and World Organization for Animal Health have set a goal of wiping out rabies globally within 2020.
