On January 10 The Vietnam National Fund for Vietnamese Children presented a certificate of merit to President of the Sunny Korea Organisation, Young Kee Moon, in recognition of his positive contributions to activities in support of children with disabilities and underprivileged children in Vietnam.

Mr Young Kee Moon also met with underprivileged children suffering congenital heart disease who will be sent to the Republic of Korea for surgery.

This will be the first heart surgery in 2007 Sunny Korea has coordinated with the Vietnam National Fund for Vietnamese Children to conduct. All expenses for the surgery will be funded by Sunny Korea.

Sunny Korea is a non-governmental organisation involved in healthcare and education. From 2002-2006, this organisation provided surgery for 47 Vietnamese children with congenital heart disease in the Republic of Korea, with a total cost of US$470,000.
