Storm leaves two fishing boats missing

According to the Quy Nhon Coastal Information Station, the two missing boats, which were coded BD 92908 TS and BD 35038TS, lost contact with the mainland approximately 34 nautical miles east of Thuan An reef in Hue at 22:00 on August 29.

Several vessels in the area found themselves in trouble due to the rough seas caused by the effects of storm No. 4. Wind speeds of level six and seven affected the area before eventually increasing to gusts of level eight and nine.

The BD 92908 TS vessel was carrying 12 fishermen onboard while the BD 35038TS boat was only made up of two crew members.

The search to locate the missing fishing boats is currently underway.
