Steering committee for national target programmes set up

The Prime Minister has decided to establish a Central Steering Committee for 2016-2020 National Target Programmes with Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue acting as its head.

The committee’s deputy heads are Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Xuan Cuong and Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung.

The function of the committee is to help the Prime Minister in studying and addressing works related to the management and implementation of national target programmes during 2016-2020.

It is tasked with proposing mechanisms and policies involved in the implementation of new-style rural area building and sustainable poverty reduction goals, as well as supervising ministries, agencies and localities making mechanisms and policies to fulfil the goals.
