(VOV) - Hanoi’s Ly Thai To Square will host an official programme on February 3 entitled “Xuan Que Huong 2013” (Homeland Spring)—a celebration for Vietnamese expatriates returning home to mark the Lunar New Year (Tet) Festival.
The event is organised by the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs, under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
High-ranking Party and State leaders and prominent Vietnamese nationals from across the world will all attend the programme.
Some Overseas Vietnamese artists are expected to bring a warmly happy atmosphere to Hanoian audiences through performances.
Songs praising the country’s Renewal achievements are some of the programme’s highlights. Participants will also have the opportunity to exchange stories and experiences.
The 2012 Homeland Spring took place in Ba Dinh Square, attracting hundreds of Overseas Vietnamese from all over the world.
