South-South cooperation meeting promotes child rights

The third High-Level Meeting on South - South Cooperation for Child Rights in Asia and the Pacific took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on November 7-8.

Senior officials from 17 countries in the region to the event shared experiences and achievements in promoting the rights of children within the cooperation mechanism.

Participants focused their discussions on health care for all people, violence against children, and social protection for households, and talked opportunities for regional cooperation.

The conference issued a declaration to further promote the rights of children relating to issues debated in the meeting.
