The Ministry of Industry and Trade have awarded its insignias to six overseas Vietnamese in Canada in recognition of their contributions to the development of the country’s industry and trade.

Vietnamese Trade Counsellor to Canada Ha Ke Tuan announced the decision by Vietnamese Industry and Trade Minister Vu Huy Hoang at the awards ceremony held in the Canadian city of Toronto on July 10.

The six recipients are Do Huu Bang (Chairman of the Vietnam-Canada Association of Overseas Vietnamese), Giang Tu Binh (President of the H&H Group in Ontario province), Hua Van Dao (President of the Kien Phat company), Nham Tai Phuc (President of the Good Lucky company), Huynh Minh Liang (President of Ocean Packers) and Tran Thi Luong (President of the LMD company).

The Vietnamese ambassador to Canada, Nguyen Duc Hung, congratulated the Vietnamese expatriates on receiving the honours. The diplomat said he highly appreciated their enthusiasm and contributions and stressed that the overseas Vietnamese are an important trade link between Canada and Vietnam.

The awards recipients vowed to work harder for the sake of the country’s prosperity.
