Several typhoons to hit mainland Vietnam in coming months
VOV.VN - Tropical depressions and typhoons are likely to form out at sea and directly effect central provinces from mid-late September to October, whilst central and southern areas are likely to be hit by the extreme weather in November and December, according to the National Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting Centre.

For example, the second half of August and early September will see abnormal weather conditions hit the northern part of the East Sea, affecting both northern and north central provinces.
Forecasters have warned that localities should take preventive measures aimed at easing the effects of strong storms which will likely feature complicated developments from September to December.
In addition, localities have been advised to prepare for the risks of abnormal weather conditions such as thunderstorms, lighting, whirlwinds, and hailstones during the period.
With regard to temperatures and hot weather, the average nationwide temperature from September to November may be 0.5-1 degree Celsius higher than the average seen in previous years.
