In his opening address, Mr Mosyakov underscored the fact that the seminar comes in the lead up to the five-day state visit from May 16-20, inclusive, of Vietnam’s Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc to Moscow.

“Prime Minister Phuc’s choice of Russia for his first visit after assuming Vietnam’s top leadership post evidences the importance he attaches to nurturing the prospects for cooperation in energy, culture, and education between the two countries,” said the Director.

In his address, he summarized the results of the Vietnam-Russian cooperation in the sphere of higher education and science over the past several years, identified problems that have impeded this cooperation as well as discussed the most promising areas for future cooperation.

The event attracted the participation of a large number of scholars, experts and other concerned individuals with extensive experience and deep knowledge of Russia and Vietnam foreign and cultural relations.
