An international seminar on “educational technology and occupational environment in Vietnam” was held in Hue city on March 18 under the auspicies of Hue University and Toulouse University, France.

The event drew representatives from universities and international organisations in France, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam.

The 21 reports presented at the seminar focused on the current state of the educational technology and occupational environment in Vietnam and other countries in the region, as well as on training technology in developed countries, engineers in charge of human resources management, and the latest techniques in educational technology and distant learning.

According to the reports, educational technology plays a crucial role in helping Vietnam integrate into the global economy. It has enabled many Vietnamese to upgrade their knowledge and skills and find suitable jobs.

During the seminar participants examined weaknesses in Vietnam’s educational technology, particularly inadequate university education and occupational training.
