School of dolphins spotted off Phu Quoc island

VOV.VN - A large school of dolphins was sighted in the waters off Phu Quoc island of southern Kien Giang province on January 15.

P.D., a local tour guide, shared his 30-second video clip of more than 10 dolphins swimming leisurely and playfully off the coast of Ganh Dau commune.

The footage uploaded to Facebook immediately went viral and garners much attention from Vietnamese netizens who commented on the rare and beautiful scene.

According to the Kien Giang marine conservation management authority, the waters near Ganh Dau commune boast a diverse marine ecosystem, including coral reefs, seagrass beds, and small fishes, making it an attractive destination for dolphins to swim and hunt for food.
