Scholarships for Dong Thap children
VOV.VN - On August 11, Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh granted 50 gifts and 100 scholarships from the National Fund for Vietnamese Children (NFVC) to poor school children who have excelled in study in the southern province of Dong Thap.
The gifts include backpacks and bikes, and scholarships are worth 1VND million each.
In addition, the NFVC also provided 20 insurance contracts valued at VND 200 million VND to the fund for Dong Thap children to support local underprivileged children.
Over the past 12 years, the educational welfare scholarship programme has presented over 3,000 bikes, 10,000 scholarships and 12,000 gifts to disadvantaged children in 63 localities across the nation.
