Samsung builds school for disadvantaged children in Thai Nguyen
VOV.VN - The Vietnam-Republic of Korea Friendship Association in Thai Nguyen province (VIKOFAT) and Korea Food for the Hungry International (KFHI) on October 5 signed a memorandum of understanding on the establishment of the Vietnam-RoK Cooperation Centre (VCC) in Thai Nguyen.

Particularly, it will build a school named Samsung Hope School at Go Moc commune, Quyet Thang village, Thai Nguyen City for primary and junior high school pupils from impoverished families.
Around US$950,000 will be invested in the school project, of which US$450,000 will go to construction and equipment and US$500,000 is for school operation in the first 10 years.
Samsung Electronics Vietnam Thai Nguyen (SEVT) will donate US$500,000 in the first year and the remaining amount will be mobilized from charity organizations and Samsung Vietnam.
The school will be equipped with modern facilities comprising of classrooms, a lab, an entertainment area, a canteen and toilets.
After it is completed, around 300 pupils in the province will enjoy a comprehensive education combining studying and healthy practices.
This is the second school in the chain of ‘Samsung Hope School’ after the first one in Xuan Hoi village, Lac Ve district, BacNinh province.
