The Russian Women’s Association wants to share experience with its Vietnamese counterpart within the framework of the Women’s International Democratic Federation, said the Russian association’s vice chairwoman Galina Gulko while receiving a Vietnamese women delegation.

During the reception on March 31, representatives of the Moscow Club for Businesswomen, part of the Russian Women’s Association, also expressed their wish to continue participating in joint projects such as SOS children villages to help disadvantaged children in both countries.

The delegation from the Vietnam Women Union (VWU) visited Russia from March 29 to April 5 to exchange information with their counterparts on their organizations’ structures and operations as well as experience in addressing social issues related to women and families, especially during the process of reform and transformation.

VWU chairwoman of Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa briefed the Russian side on her organization’s plan to establish a women’s academy and six major programmes to assist women and their families.

The Vietnamese delegation later met with the Russian Business Academy and the All-Russia Society for Female Entrepreneurs.

During their stay in Russia, the Vietnamese delegates paid visits to the community of Vietnamese women in Russia and to Saint Petersburg City’s government and business circles.
