The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union at all levels granted young people in rural areas in 2006 with credit loans worth about US$44.5 million in total to help them set up businesses.

The organisation spared no effort to generate jobs for more than 166,000 youngsters and offer 12,600 science and technology training courses for young workers.

In 2007, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union will continue with various incentives, including a movement to encourage rural workers to enhance their business efficiency and expand the network of young scientific and technological clubs.

It will also accelerate programmes aimed at providing rural youth with employment consultancy, and vocational training.
