‘Run with me’ attracts 1,000 participants

VOV.VN - As many as 1,000 young participants, including visually-impaired people paired with sighted companions, have taken part in the “Run with me -2gether 2017” programme.

The event takes place at Hoan Kiem Lake in Hanoi to mark the 35th anniversary of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
Visually-impaired people pair up with sighted companions as they hold hands and run around

the lake together for a 1.7km or 3.4km event.

The programme, organised by Vietnam and Friends, aims to raise public awareness on issues facing disabled people and help them to better integrate into the community.
