RoK offers aid to needy people across Vietnam
VOV.VN - The State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs (SCOV) and the Vietnamese Embassy in the Republic of Korea (RoK) co-hosted an online ceremony on November 5 to receive aid from the RoK in support of needy people nationwide.
The relief package sponsored by the G-Foundation Social Cooperative Union comprises 500,000 KF94 face masks and 200 boxes of shoes for children over the age of seven years old.
Addressing the event, Ambassador Nguyen Vu Tung pledged to transfer the aid to those in need at an appropriate time. He expressed his wish to continue receiving support from G-Foundation Social Cooperative Union and other international organisations in the future.
At the ceremony, Chungkwan Park, founder and chairman of G-Foundation Social Cooperative Union, and Steve Bui, chairman of Steve Bui & Friends Foundation, also signed a cooperation document aimed at receiving and delivering aid from the two local charity organisations in Vietnam.
G-Foundation Social Cooperative Union is a non-governmental organisation based in Seoul, the RoK, which primarily specialises in implementing a range of charity schemes specifically for poor families and communities in developing countries.
Steve Bui & Friends Foundation is a charity organisation founded by Steve Bui, a Japanese expatriate. Recently, the foundation presented bottles of mineral spray and N95 face masks to frontline healthcare forces in support of the country’s fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
