The Republic of Korea’s Booyoung construction company will provide 3,000 digital pianos to Vietnamese primary schools.

A memorandum of understanding to this effect was signed in Hanoi on August 20 between the Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Vinh Hien and the company’s President Lee Joong Keun.
Present were RoK ambassador to Vietnam Im Hong Jae and representatives of Vietnamese ministries and departments.

Addressing the signing ceremony, the Vietnamese Deputy Minister said, since it first began operation in Vietnam in November 2006, Booyoung Company has created numerous activities to help develop the country’s primary education system.

In 2006, the RoK Company presented 6,000 anti-dazzle boards worth US$300,000 to primary schools in Ha Tay (now Hanoi) and donated US$10 million to the Ministry of Education and Training.

The sum was used to buy 210,000 similar boards for primary schools nationwide to contribute to improving the comprehensive educational quality and protecting primary students’ health.
