An Giang province bordering Cambodia has confirmed more cases of cholera infection since the Lunar New Year Festival (Tet), according to Nguyen Huy Nga, head of the Department of Preventive Medicine and the Environment.
100 new cases occurred among those living in border areas, including some Cambodian people.
Also, the Cambodian healthcare agency has issued an alert on the risk of a cholera outbreak in the area bordering Vietnam.
Dr. Nga has also warned of the disease spreading in border areas, as the virus has been detected in some water sources.
