Residents along Highway 1A face severe flooding

VOV.VN - Hundreds of families living along Highway 1A in Thang Binh District, central Quang Nam province have been struggling with serious flooding caused by torrential rains over the past two days.

Many houses in the communes of Binh Tu and Binh Trung along Highway 1A are inundated.

Many routes are under a metre of water.

Communal roads look like rivers.

The central region is hit by flooding every year so Quang Nam people have built garrets into their houses to keep their belongings dry during the flood season.

From early this month, residents along Highway 1A in Thang Binh District have suffered two successive floods.

Earlier, from November 3-8, 22 people in Quang Nam province were killed in floods and landslides caused by storm Damrey.
