Remains of 120 soldiers reburied in Nghe An

A solemn ceremony was held in Do Luong district, Nghe An province on January 27 to rebury the remains of 120 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers who had died in Laos.
These remains were found in the dry season of 2009-2010 by soldiers of the Nghe An Army Headquarters. Of the 120 martyrs, 16 were identified.
The ceremony was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Defence, Military Zone IV, the Nghe An provincial People’s Committee and those from the Lao provinces of Xiangkhoang and Vientiane.
Luong Xuan Manh, residing in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh province, had spent many years searching for the remains of his father in Laos. He and relatives of other martyrs were moved to tears to receive the remains of their relatives.
