This is the third time the festival has been held with the aim of encouraging every one to show their humanitarian spirit by donating blood.

This year’s festival was a great opportunity for people to express their compassion and fitting way to mark the 1,000^th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi and 100^th anniversary of International Women’s Day.

Nguyen Anh Tri, director of the NIHBT, said that the festival will last from February 22 to March 13 with a wide range of activities being held across the country, with the March 6 event being the largest.
