Quarry collapse claims 5 lives in central Vietnam

Five people were killed, another seriously injured and two others trapped in a quarry collapse in the central province of Thanh Hoa on January 22.
All of them, who were workers of Tuan Hung Company, was working at the quarry when several large rocks fell on them, Nguyen Van Binh, Vice Chairman of Yen Dinh District said.
"Rockslide may be the reason," Binh said. Four bodies have so far been recovered and rescue operation are going on to locate the other two orkers, he said.
The injured was rushed to a hospital in Hanoi where he is receiving treatment.
Yen Lam Commune is home to many stone quarries and residents said it was not the first time a fatal collapse happened.
