Quang Ninh Province embarks on bold new tourism experiment
VOV.VN - When thinking about Quang Ninh Province ‘idyllic’ is not a tourism attribute that typically would come to mind, say tourism officials.

But this may soon change as the province is on a resolute march towards reforming the tourism segment and pursuing a determined path towards developing tourism as a pillar of the local economy.
In the context of several competing priorities, provincial authorities launched a joint tourism experiment with the city of Dongxing, China on January 5 to cast four top travel destinations in the two countries as one.
Entitled ‘Two Countries-Four Destinations’ the new route is an innovative, strategic and courageous one, that if successful may just become a case study for other localities in Vietnam to use as a model.
The newly created tourism route links the cities of Ha Long and Mong Cai in Vietnam with their counterparts Dongxing and Guilin in China and aims to collaboratively make the four localities top international travel destinations.
