Quang Ninh: Coal mine accident kills one, injures 10
An accident happened in a coal mine in the northern province of Quang Ninh early on August 20, killing one, injuring 10 and leaving one missing.
The accident at Cai Da work site of the Thanh Cong Coal Factory in Ha Long City’s Ha Khanh Ward followed a break in a water pipe.
Provincial Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Doc and Provincial People’s Committee Chairman Nguyen Duc Long instructed authorities and the coal sector to conduct a search and rescue.
The province has supported the family of the dead US$273 and each injured US$136.
The incident is still under investigation.
