Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung visits VOV
The VOV’s transport channel helps reduce traffic jam and accidents in Hanoi, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said during a visit to Radio the Voice of Vietnam on August 29.
The visit took place when the VOV was celebrating its 64th anniversary (September 7).
During the visit, he praised the achievements made by the VOV in recent years and urged the national radio to develop its tradition broadcasting. He highly valued the VOV’s renovation in line with the trend of modern communications to better serve listeners’ demand for information.

Mr Dung said that the East Sea broadcasting project launched on the afternoon of August 29 will help listeners across the country, especially fishermen and soldiers operating offshore or living on islands to get news updates from the VOV throughout the day. Expanding broadcasts to the East Sea will help to intensify rescue efforts and ensure Vietnamese sea security.
