The Vietnamese embassy in China held a ceremony on May 19 to offer incense to President Ho Chi Minh. The event drew the participation of embassy staff and representatives of many other Vietnamese agencies in China.

The previous day, the embassy held a ceremony to mark the 120th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday.

Addressing the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to China Nguyen Van Tho affirmed the late president was the lesson of the best qualities of the Vietnamese people. “He represents Vietnamese patriotism and cultural identity,” Mr Tho said.

On the occasion, Ambassador Tho summed up the results of the campaign to study and follow the moral example of President Ho Chi Minh.

“The movement,” Mr Tho said, “has spread to and caused a positive impact on the Vietnamese community in China. 150 Vietnamese people and 30 Vietnamese units have been selected as strong examples of the movement.”
