Police officers arrest 2 men, seize 3.5 kilos of heroin
VOV.VN - Police officials in the north-western province of Son La yesterday (June 19) said they seized 3.5 kilograms of heroin and arrested two male residents for transporting drugs with intent to distribute.

Song A Trang, 23, and Giang A Tung, 20, were arrested about 11am after drug enforcement agents said they sped off and tried to flee after being stopped on a motorbike for a routine drug inspection.
Agents pursued the duo eventually succeeding to take them into custody. Police said they seized three and one-half kilos of heroin, one motorbike, two mobiles and an undisclosed amount of cash in their possession.
The two are charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute.
The seizure of the heroin is significant, said police officials, and not only puts a dent in heroin trafficking in the community, but also illustrates that provincial police forces are working hard to slow the supply of this deadly drug into the region.
