PM Phuc chairs forum on improving skills of Vietnamese labourers

VOV.VN - A national forum titled ‘Skilling Up Vietnam’ opened in Hanoi on November 16 with Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc in attendance along with over 1,500 domestic and international delegates.

PM Phuc chairs a national forum that is running with the theme of “Enterprises go together with renewal and vocational training quality promotion”.
Head of the Party Central Committee's Economic Commission Nguyen Van Binh delivers a speech to participating delegates.
Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam speaks at the forum.
Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung emphasizes the importance of co-operation between enterprises and vocational training schools for the purpose of improving overall training quality and increasing the skills of Vietnamese labourers.
Dung says that within the next 10 to 15 years, Industry 4.0 will have a significant impact on the global jobs market. Indeed, roughly 40 per cent of workers worldwide will lack the correct skills for their jobs and be under threat of being replaced by robots.
The forum provides a platform for vocational education managers, experts, and business representatives to share experience in running vocational training programs that meet the needs of businesses amid the current labour market.

According to Minister Dung, these programs are expected to contribute to creating a skilled workforce and boosting national competitiveness within the international arena.
