Pham Mai Phuong to attend MIT, thanks to scholarship

(VOV) -Pham Mai Phuong, a graduate of the Hanoi-Amsterdam Specialized High School, has always had a dream to attend the Massachusetts Institute of Technology University (MIT) in the US, but she knew she couldn’t afford it.

However Phuong, who won a gold medal at the 2014 International Chemistry Olympiad, studied hard and has now been awarded a scholarship enabling him to attend the premiere educational institution in the US.

“I'm going to America this August to begin life as a student at MIT,” said Phuong, who added that to be selected to attend the university is truly a dream.Before leaving,Pham Mai Phuong will participate in a youth program with VietAbroader to share experience and provide guidance for Vietnamese students who want to study abroad.

VietAbroader is a non-profit, student-run organization whose goal is to create opportunities for youth development in Vietnam.
