People’s Police Academy secures third place at IUCP competition

VOV.VN - TThe People’s Police Academy claimed third prize at the 2025 International Undergraduate Conference on Policing (IUCP), which concluded in Indonesia on November 15.

The event, kicked off on November 10, drew 25 teams from across Asia. Only seven teams from the Republic of Korea, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, and host country Indonesia, advanced to the final round.

Two members of the Vietnamese team presented their research project, “Over-policing and Under-policing Dynamics in Misidentification of Human Trafficking Victims in Southeast Asia’s Scam Centers: Case Study in Vietnam.” Their confident delivery and strong expertise impressed the judging panel, earning the team third prize.

The Indonesian National Police Academy won first prize, while the Philippine National Police Academy took second.

From November 10 to 16, the People’s Police Academy (PPA) delegation of officers and students participated in both the Police Academy Student Festival in Asia (PASFA) and the IUCP competition in Indonesia. These events are organized under the Association of Police Training Institutions in Asia (APTA).

This marks the seventh appearance of Vietnamese representatives at the IUCP. Previously, they secured two first prizes (2019, 2020), two second prizes (2017, 2018), and one third prize in 2023.
