Overseas Vietnamese in France organized a seminar in Paris this week to discuss specific ways to help Agent Orange/dioxin (AO) victims in Vietnam.

During the seminar, both French and Vietnamese participants stressed the need for the international community's support for AO victims. They proposed collecting signatures in support of the Vietnamese victims in their lawsuits against US chemical producers and launching campaigns to disseminate information about the consequences of toxic chemicals at major universities and cities in France.

Vo Dinh Kim, a co-ordinator of Collectif Vietnam Dioxin and member of the Executive Board of the Vietnamese Nationals Society in France, said alongside these activities, his association will seek medical assistance for the victims and conduct research on how to improve the environment in Vietnam.
