OVs in France celebrate Tet
(VOV) - The Vietnamese Embassy in France held a get-together in Paris on February 4 to celebrate the Lunar New Year (Tet).
At the opening ceremony, Paris Mayor Bertrand Delanoe conveyed his best wishes to Vietnamese people in France and affirmed that Paris is very proud of its OV community who contribute greatly to diversifying culture in the city.
He emphasised the significant contributions made by Paris to the success of the Vietnam-France Friendship Exchange Year 2013 and promised to further contribute to organising the Vietnam Year in France in 2014.
Ambassador to France Duong Chi Dung recalled milestones in Vietnam-France relations over recent years and affirmed that France is one of its leading partners in all fields, ranging from politics, diplomacy, economics, trade, national defence to culture and education.

He noted 2013 was a year of progress and development, the two countries established a strategic partnership in September and celebrated the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties.
He revealed that more than 100 activities will be held in 2014 to promote Vietnam’s image to international friends.
The OV community has contributed hugely to strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries and have organised various cultural activities, said Dung expressing his hope that they will continue to foster bilateral ties.
Participants had the chance to enjoy many traditional dishes and an art performance presented by OVs.
