Having travelled to almost every part of the world, the dynamic woman finds it very surprising that not many people know about Vietnam despite the country’s rich culture and beauty. She, therefore, decided to invest in tourism business and it has helped her discover Vietnam’s potential in this field.
“The country’s beautiful scenery, good services and friendly people will be good factors for tourism development,” said Hoa, adding that her desire to bring Vietnam’s image to the world has motivated her to set up a travel company named Indochina.
“Although tourism does not make a big profit, my love for my home country is one of the reasons for the establishment of Indochina”, she said.
The number of Russian visitors to Vietnam accounts for only 0.3 percent of those who travel abroad, but Hoa asserts it is more important to help foreign visitors come to know about Vietnam and Vietnamese people rather than to earn money.
Indochina has created opportunities for Vietnamese and Russian companies to meet, and six of them have become business partners. In the future, Hoa intends to hold more seminars and meetings to help them exchange experiences and seek business cooperation opportunities.
Whenever Hoa talks about her business, her family or the Vietnamese community in Russia, she expresses deep-routed feelings towards her homeland. She often tells stories about Vietnam to her children and grandchildren and even has a tutor teach them Vietnamese at home.
Most second generation Vietnamese, who were born and grew up in Russia, love Vietnam very much and want to return to work in Vietnam when they finish university study, she said proudly.
Russian people do not know much about developing Vietnam and Hoa is trying to make Vietnam’s image more popular in her country of residence.
