Vietnamese, US and Japanese charitable organisations will continue to team up to build around 20 small-sized schools for disadvantaged areas in Vietnam in 2010.
The construction, which is estimated to cost more than US$500,000, will be jointly undertaken by the Vietnam Assistance for the Handicapped (VNAH), the Health and Education Volunteers (HealthEd) of the US , and the Asian Education and Friendship Association (AEFA) - Japan .
Officials from those organisations have visited mountain areas in the central province of Quang Nam and the central city of Da Nang to decide on sites for school building.
As many as 43 schools have been built in Vietnam since 2005 by those organisations with the funding provided by the Nippon Foundation and AEFA-Japan.
