Under the theme “Educational Policy and OpenCourseWare”, participants focus their discussions on Building, Using and Sustaining OpenCourseWare.

Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Vu Luan said Vietnam welcomed the OCW and expects it will serve as an invaluable resource for training and studying in the country.

The 2010 annual OCWC global meeting taking place in Vietnam is an opportunity for local universities’ officials as well as international OCW experts around the world to meet, discuss and decide on development of OCW to meet human resources demand of each country in the process of international integration and cooperation.

During the three-day meeting, a debut ceremony and a workshop on Vietnam Creative Commons licence will be held on May 7.

A Vietnam OpenCourseWare (VOCW) project has been developed in Vietnam since 2005 with 14 universities taking part. People are free access and refer to the OCW data.
