Israeli ambassador Amnon Afrat said that nowadays Israel has become one of the leading nations in the world in terms of agricultural technologies with solutions for irrigation, intensive cultivation, greenhouses and water management.

Addressing the seminar, deputy minister of Science and Technology Le Dinh Tien said Vietnam and Israel have great potential for cooperation in technology, which has not been fully tapped over the past years. Therefore, the seminar will pave the way for long-term cooperation between the two counties.

Participants will hear Dr Giora Alon, chief engineer of the National Sewerage Authority, discussing methods of wastewater treatment in Israel and sharing experiences in using water resources effectively.

The event was co-organised by the National Information Centre for Science and Technology, the Israel embassy in Vietnam, the Da nang city department of science and technology and the HCM City Investment and Trade Promotion Centre.
