'Not Alone 2026' campaign to combat child abuse online
VOV.VN - The nationwide “Not Alone 2026 – Connect Without Harm” campaign will run from October 10 to December 10, focusing on preventing online abuse of children and adolescents while equipping them with skills to proactively respond to online safety risks.
Initiated by the Digital Trust Alliance (DTA), the campaign is supported by the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Health, and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, along with international organisations United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) and United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
It is also coordinated with the Department of Cybersecurity, the National Cybersecurity Association and other agencies, organisations, businesses and communities.
Now in its second year, the campaign aims to raise awareness, equip children and adolescents with essential skills, and build support networks to help them deal with risks and unsafe situations online.
The launching ceremony is scheduled for October 9 at Nguyen Sieu School in Hanoi, with representatives from supporting agencies and organisations, schools, digital safety ambassadors, KOLs and artists expected to attend.
Following the 2025 message “Together for Online Safety”, this year’s campaign adopts the theme “Connect Without Harm”, highlighting the importance of safe connections. It encourages children and young people facing online problems to seek help from parents, teachers, friends and other trusted adults rather than dealing with them alone.
It also emphasises individual responsibility in the digital environment. Messages, comments, shares and online posts can all affect others, underscoring the need for respectful and responsible online behaviour.
In 2025, the “Not Alone” campaign was rolled out at more than 6,100 schools and 113,000 classes across 34 provinces and cities, reaching over eight million students, teachers and parents.
Its online activities generated more than 1.5 billion views and reached 40 million users, with more than 1,000 artists, KOLs and content creators helping spread the campaign’s message.
Building on those results, the 2026 campaign aims to help children not only protect themselves but also speak up and seek support when needed, while encouraging adults to become a trusted source of support in the digital environment.
