Nielsen Global Impact Day
Over 300 Nielsen Vietnam associates volunteered in the 4th annual Nielsen Global Impact Day which focused on hunger and nutrition matters of local communities in six cities - HCMC, Hanoi, Haiphong, Danang, Nha Trang and Can Tho recently.
In HCMC, over 200 associates visited Chanh Phu Hoa Center for Handicapped and Orphans in Ben Cat District of Binh Duong Province and Hiep Binh Chanh Nursing Home for Homeless and Disabled Elders in HCMC’s Thu Duc District.
At the event, participants prepared lunch for the residents as well as delivered the donations worth VND300 million that was raised by both Nielsen associates and sponsors. Besides, they contributed music performances to entertain local residents.
Nielsen Hanoi’s team helped improve the old facilities of Thanh Mai Primary School and replace all the broken facilities of Tan Long Primary school in Thai Nguyen Province. Nielsen Can Tho’s associates spent their time visiting and donating gifts to the social protection organization Thien An.
Nielsen colleagues in Danang volunteered to prepare lunch for 400 patients at the Danang Cancer Hospital. Haiphong team visited the Centre for Handicapped and Dioxin Victims. Nha Trang team donated gifts to orphans at Thien Tam Home where around 20 orphans from 4 to 8 years old are nurtured.
Nielsen Global Impact Day (NGID) is an annual worldwide event for all Nielsen associates in every region to come together and make an impact on the communities in which they live and work. This year, nearly 20,000 associates worldwide engaged in more than 1,000 registered volunteer activities in over 85 countries.

This year’s event received sponsorships from different companies such as Oishi (Liwayway), Dumex, Pham Nguyen and Perfetti Van Melle, Reeva (Uniben), TH True Milk, Love-in-Farm (IDP) and Tetra Pak, Shop & Go, Circle K and P&G.
