New Zealand awards 20 government scholarships to Vietnamese students
VOV.VN - Education New Zealand (ENZ) held a ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City on June 22 to present the New Zealand Schools Scholarships (NZSS) to 20 outstanding Vietnamese students.

Launched in 2019, the NZSS is an initiative by ENZ aimed specifically at Vietnamese students from grades 8 to 10. The programme seeks to attract promising international students to pursue high school education in New Zealand.
The scholarships are awarded based not only on academic performance, but also on personal qualities, development potential, and the spirit of integration.
According to Scott James, New Zealand Trade Commissioner and Consul General in Vietnam, this year’s 20 recipients were selected for their exceptional academic records.
The students will begin their studies at schools across New Zealand in either July this year or January 2026, with 50% of first-year tuition covered.
They will also receive comprehensive support throughout their stay, from school selection and accommodation to guidance on cultural integration and opportunities to experience New Zealand’s academic and everyday life.
